This week I'm doing something different. I will be doing product comparison between two similar products. I have been watching a lot of Youtubers and beauty gurus raving online about Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen. As a beauty blogger, I got very curious with this product as it is so luxurious and the price is steep for a liquid eyeliner.
I used to wear drugstore or high street liquid liner back when I was in school, from brands such as Maybelline and L'Oréal. Later on, converted to wearing Chanel Liquid liner when I started working and stopped using liquid eyeliner for a while.
Before Tom Ford, there were lots of rave about Stila. I decided to get my hands on the Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid liner last year and was amazed by it. It doesn't budge once dried and it dries pretty quick too.
SO I asked myself, what is so special about Tom Ford for the hefty price? Is it worth it? I tried finding blogs that compare this two. Not many. Therefore I decided that I need to try it out for myself and share with everyone else. I went to Tom Ford counter and handed my credit card with cold sweat for a SGD$82.00 liquid eyeliner.
A lil' bit of background about my face and the country i live:

A lil' bit of background about my face and the country i live:
- Combination Oily Skin
- Oily eyelid by the end of the day (without primer)
- I live in Singapore where the weather is either hot and humid or rainy and humid. Current temperature ranging from 27 (80F) degree celsius to 35 (95F) degree celsius - No kidding
How did I test it out?
- I did not apply primer to my eyes.
- One eye with Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen (Left eye).
- Another with Stila All Day Waterproof Eyeliner (Right eye).
- Same day, same weather.
- Application starts from 7.30am for work and I'll be back home at 7.30pm (12 hours).
- On this day, I am not just doing my desk Job, I have to move to a new office space, which involves packing, transferring and unpacking.
Lets compare the product before we get to the verdict.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
This liner comes in a pen form with very fine tip (its like a marker tip but fine).
Application: It made easy to draw a cat eye or wing line. It dries quickly and it is slightly shiny when dried. Once dried, it does not smudge, it stays put. It claimed that it doesn't run. It comes in many colours but the one I am using is the intense black. Therefore it is very pigmented.
Price at SGD$32. How much product do you get? 0.016 oz
Where can you get them: www. sephora.com.sg / Sephora stores/ Stila Counters/ Tangs
Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen
The Tom Ford liner has a dual pen; one with a fine tip and another with a slightly thicker tip for thicker lines.
Application: This pen made it much easier to be precise and draw a cat eye line, wing line or sultry doe line. It is also very pigmented. This pen however comes in only one colour, that is Deeper, which is black. It comes with a hefty price of SGD$82.00, how much product will you get? 0.04z
Where can you get it? Tangs; Tom Ford Counter.

Conclusion:
I found that there is not much different for lasting power. With the price that I paid for to get a Tom Ford, I had very high expectations. After this trial, I personally think that the Tom Ford liner is slightly better. Tom Ford applies better, much more precise and it comes with two brush application for different thickness, it is more intense that the Stila's. You also do get a lot of products for the price you paid for, hence it last longer. I've had both for about 3 months and it is still not drying.
I hope this helps.
Have a great week everyone!
